1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Sorce (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our website and the mobile applications that link to this policy (together, the “Services”). For privacy questions, contact account@sorcelabs.com.

Our apps have different features. The categories below apply only where a particular Service uses them. An app’s privacy notice, permission prompts, and store privacy disclosures provide additional information about that app. An app-specific notice takes precedence for that app if it differs from this shared policy.

2. Information we handle

  • Information you provide: support messages, contact details, and, where supported, account details, preferences, or content you choose to enter or upload.
  • Information stored on your device: settings, saved items, activity history, and other app data may be stored locally. Whether data is backed up or synchronized depends on the app and your device settings.
  • Technical and usage information: where a Service uses diagnostics or analytics, this may include device and operating-system details, app version, IP address, installation or device identifiers, feature interactions, and crash information. Such information is not necessarily anonymous.
  • Permission-based information: an app may request access to location, photos, camera, microphone, or other device features when needed for a feature you choose to use. The app explains the purpose at the point of access.
  • Purchase information: we may receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, and purchase receipts needed to provide paid features. App-store payments are handled by the relevant store; we do not receive full payment-card details from those purchases.

This website’s hosting provider may process technical request information to deliver and secure the website.

3. How information is used

We use relevant information to provide requested features, save preferences, verify purchases, respond to support requests, maintain security, diagnose errors, and improve the Services. We may also process information to meet legal obligations or protect legal rights.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of a contract, consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as keeping a Service secure and reliable. When we rely on consent, you may withdraw it; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

4. Providers and sharing

Depending on the app, third-party providers may support hosting, analytics, crash reporting, feature configuration, purchases, or a feature-specific service. Information necessary for those functions may be processed by the provider. The relevant app’s disclosures identify its applicable providers; inclusion of a provider in one app does not mean every Sorce app uses it.

For apps that use Google Firebase, see Firebase privacy information. For purchases and platform services, see Apple’s Privacy Policy or Google’s Privacy Policy, as applicable.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and our legal rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer subject to applicable safeguards. Any advertising, data sale or sharing, or cross-app tracking practices, if applicable to an app, must be described in that app’s notice and handled with the permissions and choices required by law and platform rules.

5. AI-powered features

Some of our apps offer AI-powered conversations, recommendations, or other features. When you choose to use one of these features, the app may send your message or prompt, relevant conversation history, and content you select or attach to our servers and a third-party AI provider to generate the response. Depending on the feature, this content may include text, images, or other information you provide. Content you enter may contain personal or sensitive information, including information about your health or beliefs; please share only what is needed for your request.

AI providers may include Google Gemini. The applicable provider and the information shared should be identified in the app at the point of use. For Google services, see Google’s Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. Mentioning a provider here does not mean every Sorce app uses that provider.

We use this information to deliver the AI feature you request. Technical information, request identifiers, usage counts, and security or error information may also be processed to operate the feature, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits. How the AI provider retains or uses submitted content, including any use to improve its services, depends on the product, applicable terms, and configuration. We do not make a blanket promise that AI submissions are never retained or used for improvement. Conversation history may also be stored on your device or by the app as described in its disclosures. Removing local history does not necessarily remove information already processed or retained by a provider.

You can choose not to use AI-powered features and can stop submitting information at any time. Where explicit permission is required, the app must obtain it before sharing personal information with an AI provider. This policy does not itself provide that permission or replace an in-app consent request. For questions about AI data handling or deletion requests, contact account@sorcelabs.com and identify the app and feature you used.

6. Storage and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, including support, security, and legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and Service. Providers may have their own retention settings and policies.

Deleting an app may remove its local data, but does not automatically delete cloud accounts, synchronized data, device backups, support correspondence, or records held by an app store. Use the app’s deletion controls where available or contact us for help.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information outside your country; where required, appropriate legal safeguards apply to international transfers.

7. Your choices and rights

You can manage device permissions and notifications in your device settings. Where provided, you can also manage account information, analytics preferences, and deletion within the app. Disabling a permission may limit the feature that needs it.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email account@sorcelabs.com with the app name and the nature of your request. We may need proportionate verification of your identity. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines. We may not be able to identify or retrieve information stored only on your device.

8. Children’s privacy

Age suitability is stated in each app’s store listing. A store age rating does not itself establish consent for data collection. Where a Service is directed to children or requires parental consent under applicable law, its app-specific notice explains the relevant practices and safeguards.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without required parental consent, contact us with the app name so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as our Services or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available on this page with a revised date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required for a material change. This policy is an explanation of our practices, not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
